Château Millegrand is one of the largest and oldest domains in the Languedoc (200 hectares). The domaine stretches along the Canal Midi at Tèbes near Carcasonne. It belonged for a long time to the clergy of Lagrasse Abbey (12th century). In 2003 it was bought by the Bonfils family from the Bishop of Carcasonne. The vineyard consists of a gravel, shell and clay layer. Despite the Mediterranean climate, a north wind characterizes the climate and thus favors the typical cultivation of Syrah, Merlot, Carignan, Mouvedre and Cabernet vines.
