Château Villerambert in the municipality of Caunes covers 100 hectares of vineyards in the Appelation AOC Minervois. Gallo-Roman remains point to an early wine cultivation until the fourth century. The first mentioned wine-growing dates back to the year 1231. The typical features of the Minervois grapes (Syrah, Carignan, Grenache, Rousanne and Mourvèdre) are rich in mud limestone, slate, extremely rare, pink marble and climatology. The marble of Vene Caunes Minervois is known all over the world and decorates eg the staircase of the Paris Opera. Since 2014, the Château has been owned by the Bonfils family.
