Château Maucaillaud 2018 Bordeaux Superieur

This Bordeaux Supérieur shows a brilliantly limpid robe of deep ruby red. Intensely fruity on the nose, it reveals delicious aromas of small ripe red and black fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant) with a touch of spice. The seductive palate is smooth, elegant and well balanced, with pleasing fruit notes.

Château Maucaillaud covers 40 hectares of vineyards in Mouliets-et-Villemartin near Saint-Emilion in the Gironde department, the grape varieties are mainly Merlot, which accounts for almost two-thirds of the vineyard, with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Excellent terroir and experience in the vineyard and the cellar make for a successful combination. The Chateau Maucaillaud Bordeaux Superieur became a medal winner at the Concours de Bordeaux, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in Europe
